By this week, I was still missing 8 VR shields and 2 AXAs.Thus, I didn't include the fifth capsule in the experiment yet.

Hacking with more glyphs

As of 1.94, this system is no longer working.
Also, 1.95 reintroduced it in a different way
I should confess I dislike the new version, and find it such a wasted potential....

A smurf peer linked us to the news about the new commands to hack for rare or common objects. And as I'm fishing for rare shields (AXAs, I'm looking at you) for the anomaly, I started requesting rare objetcs.
After some 15 hacks, I noticed I had lots of Resos and XMPs, which I commented among my group. After agreeing that the sample's too small, I decided to get more results.
This is what I got after 26 hacks in portals 6 (4 hacks), 7 and 8 (4 hacks):

Resos and XMPs are Very Common.
Cubes are technically "Very Common", but in practice they are as common as Rares.
Ultra Strikes are technically "Very Common", but for all purposes they get hacked as often as Very rares (found this by hacking over 900 L8 XMPs and not even 20 L8 USs in the last month).
Among the mods, 5 Commons and 4 Rares suggest a slight increase in probability to get rares, but not greatly so.

Hackeando con mas glifos

Para 1.94, este sistema ya no funciona.
Adicionalmente, 1.95 reintrodujo estos glifos con una mecánica distnta.
Debo confesar que me desagrada esta nueva versión, y me parece un desperdicio.

Un compañero pitufo nos enlazó a la noticia de los nuevos comandos para hackear objetos raros o comunes. Y ya que estoy buscando escudos raros (AXAs, los estoy viendo) para la anomalía, me puse a solicitar objetos raros.
Tras unos 15 hacks, me di cuenta de que salían muchos Resos y XMPs, por lo que lo comenté en el grupo. Tras acordar que mi muestra es muy pequeña, decidí obtener más resultados.
Esto es lo que conseguí tras 26 hacks en portales 6 (4 hacks), 7 y 8 (4 hacks):

Los Resos y XMPs son Muy Comunes
Los Cubos son técnicamente "Muy Comunes", pero en realidad salen como si fueran Raros.
Los Ultra Strikes son técnicamente "Muy Comunes", pero en realidad salen como si fueran Muy Raros (como prueba, en el último mes he conseguido más de 900 XMPs L8, y menos de 20 US L8).
Entre los mods, 5 Comunes y 4 Raros sugieren un ligero aumento de la probabilidad de conseguirlos raros, pero no tanto como para saltar de la alegría.

Operation Kraken Queretano

Querétaro has been flooded under a blue tide for two days already.

After two months of preparation, multiple trips from Querétaro to San Juan del Río, Celaya, Jalpan, León, Guanajuato and Acambay have come tu fruition in a healthy advantage of 6 million MUs over the local Enlightened.
That alongside the nearby cells.


Everything started after new year's eve, when the local enlightened trapped the city under a field from Peña de Bernal to Acambay and a restaurant midways between Celaya and San Miguel de Allende.
Two days later, I had enough and crashed the field.
After being caught a second time and watching fellow agents foil a third attempt, I started planning something bigger.

Maybe it was an escalating conflict... that tends to happen in competitive environments like Ingress.
Or maybe I found inherent weaknesses in using a single link to stage such a big op that traps a whole city.
Whatever it was, I wasn't going to settle with less than 10 layers.

There were problems along the way.
The plan wasn't executed on schedule or completely due to a series of situations.
Put the minimum objectives were met, and that's good enough.

I'll end this post by thanking all those who were part of setting this field and enhancing my feeble attempts at coordinating this devious scheme. It was a team effort, thanks agents.
